1889-1893 Benjamin Harrison Vice President was Levi P. Morton. B. Harrison's Inaugural Address.
He supported the Sherman Antitrust Act of 1890, which outlawed industrial monopolies and led to a number of "trust-busting" court cases. On December 29, 1890 federal troops massacred 200 Sioux Indians at Wounded Knee, South Dakota, finishing the last Indian war in the West.
