1775

Next followed by the Prohibitory Act in 1775 in which the British parliament was telling all settlers that they the British shall enforce all laws.

April 1775,

Massachusetts Governor Gage was ordered to enforce the Coercive Acts and suppress "open rebellion" among the colonists by all necessary force.

Yet very well aware of the explosive situation in the colonies King George sent nobody to America to intervene or attempt to calm the boiling tempers. One reason given for his non action was that he was too sick.(3)

3. The other (see page 78 America Past and Presence) is stated as, "The king (George III) does not bear the sole blame for England's loss of empire in the American colonies. The members of Parliament, the men who actually drafted the statutes that drove a wedge between the colonists and the mother country, failed to respond creatively to the challenge of events." ... . ... "They refused to see a middle ground between the preeminent authority of Parliament and complete American independence."
