1775 March 23rd ,
in Virginia Patrick Henry delivered his speech against
the British rule stating: "Give me liberty or give me death!"
March 30th ,
the New England Restraining Act was endorsed by King
George III, requiring New England colonies to trade exclusively with England and also bans
all fishing in the North Atlantic.
On April 18th
the British went to seize unauthorized weapons at
Concord/Lexington and were greeted with bullets fired by modern rifles.
On June 17th ,
colonial militiamen again held their own against seasoned
troops at the battle of Bunker Hill.
1775
In December Parliament passed the Prohibitary Act,
declaring war on American commerce. The British navy blocked colonial ports and seized
American ships on the high seas.
