This part of the bay is very much sheltered, still we can see the sand forming new dunes as I take this picture...
(photos taken on 04/03/99 around 2:30 p.m.) This photo was taken on a clear, but windy day. Windspeeds of 50 mph drove waves up onto the beach, toppled trees and caused many power outages around the area...
